Rootbound: A Fairy Love

Corina knows better than to dig up a Heart-Root. She also knows better than to touch one, bleed on one, or accidentally bind herself to the most infuriating male in the forest.

Unfortunately, Corina has never been especially talented at leaving forbidden things alone.

As a botanist of the Sunlit Court, she understands roots, poisons, enchanted plants, and the thousand quiet ways a forest can kill you. Tristan Silverthorne is another problem entirely. Exiled from the Thorne Court, arrogant enough to make assassination seem reasonable, and far too interested in the bond suddenly growing between them, Tristan is exactly the kind of fairy Corina has spent her life avoiding.

The Heart-Root has other plans.

Now his emotions slip beneath her skin. Her magic reaches for his. The roots binding their rival courts are beginning to rot, and the strange connection between them may be tied to whatever is spreading beneath the realm.

To save their courts, Corina and Tristan will have to follow the dying root system into places neither side has dared enter for centuries, which would be considerably easier if she could stop wanting to kiss him, and if Tristan would stop looking so pleased about it. Because the deeper they go, the stronger their bond becomes, and some roots were never meant to be separated.

Different roots. Same direction.
